Ieri l’incontro tecnico-istituzionale con Acqualatina e Ato4 richiesto dal Sindaco di Itri Antonio Fargiorgio, per un avanzamento sul progetto recupero perdite e risanamento reti.

Oltre 800.000 euro per la posa in opera di nuove condotte a Itri, di cui 500.000 già realizzati.

Massima soddisfazione di tutti i presenti per i risultati raggiunti e per le previsioni future: il recupero perdite si conferma la principale leva strategica per fronteggiare le emergenze climatiche e potenziare le reti.

Si è tenuto ieri l’incontro tecnico-istituzionale richiesto dal Sindaco di Itri, Antonio Fargiorgio, con il Presidente di Acqualatina, Michele Lauriola, il Consigliere Alessandro Cerilli, il Presidente dell’Ato4, Carlo Medici, il Dirigente della Segreteria Tecnico Operativa, Umberto Bernola, e il Direttore Tecnico di Acqualatina, Ennio Cima, per un avanzamento sui lavori già eseguiti, in corso e di prossima realizzazione nell’ambito del progetto di risanamento delle reti e recupero delle perdite.

La delegazione ha prima visitato il cantiere in corso su Via Sant’Apollonia, Via Don Morosini e Corso Matteotti, per poi spostarsi nel palazzo comunale. Tutti i partecipanti hanno espresso massima soddisfazione per i risultati raggiunti e per le prospettive future, sottolineando come il recupero delle perdite si confermi la principale leva strategica per il potenziamento e la resilienza delle reti idriche, a fronte delle sempre più frequenti emergenze climatiche.

Nel Comune di Itri il progetto ha avuto inizio negli ultimi mesi del 2019, con la realizzazione, da parte del Gestore, di una mappatura puntuale e la suddivisione in distretti dell’intera rete comunale, nonché di un sistema di monitoraggio automatizzato in grado di riportare in tempo reale i volumi di acqua immessi in rete, così da individuare eventuali perdite occulte e le aree su cui intervenire. Nello stesso periodo sono state sostituite le tubature più ammalorate situate in aree critiche come Via Cescole, Via Mezzabrino, Via Mafai, Via Calabretto, Via Don Iallonghi, Via Pirandello, Via Padovani e Via Sant’Apollonia, così da efficientare il servizio sin da subito.

Questi interventi hanno richiesto un investimento di oltre 500.000 euro e ora ulteriori 300.000 euro verranno utilizzati per i lavori in corso.

I lavori vedono la posa in opera di circa un kilometro di nuove condotte e l’allaccio di tutti gli utenti di Via Sant’Apollonia, Via Don Morosini e Corso Matteotti, entro il mese di giugno, per poi procedere con la posa in opera di un altro kilometro di nuove condotte e relativi allacci su tutte le traverse di Corso Matteotti e in località Madonna delle Grazie.

Tali opere permetteranno di recuperare tra il 10% e il 20% dell’acqua attualmente dispersa e di ottimizzare al massimo l’utilizzo della nuova condotta che collega Via Appia a Via Civita Farnese, posta in opera a fine 2019.

Con questi interventi e altre attività previste contiamo di aumentare la pressione di rete e migliorare il servizio in tutto il territorio comunale, in special modo nelle aree più alte di Itri, come il Centro Storico.

Quello del recupero perdite è un progetto più ampio, che si estende a tutto il territorio, con particolare attenzione al Sud Pontino. Altri cantieri, infatti, sono in corso a Minturno, Castelforte, Spigno Saturnia, Formia, Gaeta e S.S. Cosma e Damiano, con un recupero totale già ottenuto di 185 litri al secondo.

Al fine di ottimizzare i risultati e ridurre sia i costi che gli impatti su ambiente e viabilità, queste attività vedono l’utilizzo tanto di tecnologie tradizionali di sostituzione delle reti quanto di tecnologie innovative, come droni con rilevatore termico del terreno per l’individuazione di perdite occulte, e tecnologie “no-dig” senza scavo per l’ammodernamento delle reti. Queste tecnologie vengono adottate in maniera alternata, al fine di ottimizzare i risultati e far fronte alle esigenze tecniche di volta in volta riscontrate.

È stato formalizzato, da parte dell’Ente Gestore d’Ambito, il passaggio di gestione del servizio idrico per il Comune di Sabaudia dalla Società Acque Potabili, al termine del suo periodo di concessione, ad Acqualatina, che subentra in qualità di gestore unico del servizio idrico integrato in tutto l’Ato4-Lazio Meridionale.

Oltre ai servizi di depurazione e fognatura, già gestiti da Acqualatina sin dal 2002, a partire da lunedì 15 febbraio 2021 la Società si occuperà anche delle reti e degli impianti per la distribuzione dell’acqua potabile a tutte le utenze comunali.

Nelle scorse settimane sono state avviate tutte le attività propedeutiche alla presa in gestione e nei prossimi mesi verrà discusso il piano degli investimenti da operare nel Comune di Sabaudia anche per l’ambito idrico.
